Gibson Electrical LLC. is seeking experienced Journeymen Electricians for commercial and industrial electrical projects. We are looking for motivated, safety-focused professionals with strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and experience working in fast-paced jobsite environments.
Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems and equipment

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, specifications, and electrical schematics

Perform electrical testing using diagnostic equipment including voltmeters, meggers, circuit tracers, and ground resistance meters
-
Install and repair electrical components, wiring, devices, and equipment
-
Perform underground, wall, and overhead layout work using lasers and grade sticks
-
Conduct QA/QC inspections to ensure installation accuracy and code compliance
-
Work safely while following all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures
-
Operate ladders, scaffolding, lifts, skid steers, excavators, and boom lifts as needed

Communicate effectively with Foremen, crews, Project Managers, and leadership

Mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians

Maintain current knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Ohio regulations, and local code requirements
Required Qualifications:

State of Ohio Journeyman Certification
-
Strong working knowledge of the NEC
-
Experience with commercial and industrial electrical installations
-
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and controls
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Professional attitude with strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 30

Fire Alarm Certification
-
Arc Flash Certification
-
Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to office and job sites required

Ability to pass drug/alcohol testing required

Must own tools and understand proper tool usage

Ability to lift, carry, and move 50+ pounds and perform physical work, including but not limited to sitting, standing, bending, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, etc.

Ability to work at heights, on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms using proper fall protection

Ability to work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Must provide supporting documentation for certifications and licenses

Experience with small- to medium-sized commercial electrical projects preferred

Proficiency in the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes required

Experience with a wide range of electrical installations preferred

Strong project coordination and personnel management skills required

Strong organizational, communication, and professional skills required
ScheduleAvailability:
-
This position is expected to involve 32 or more hours per week.
-
Current work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; however, schedules may vary based on contract requirements and project needs.

Employees may be required to work overtime, after-hours shifts, and/or weekends as needed.
