Responsibilities
- Install finish carpentry with precision, including baseboards, casing, crown molding, window and door trim, built-ins, shelving, and custom woodwork.
- Install interior doors, hardware, cabinets, vanities, and other finish components.
- Complete punch lists and final detailing to ensure every project meets our high standards.
- Perform accurate layout, measuring, cutting, and installation with minimal supervision.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites throughout each project.
- Protect homeowners’ property using floor coverings, plastic barriers, and dust control systems.
- Work alongside project managers and other trades to keep projects on schedule.
- Identify problems before they become costly and communicate solutions effectively.
- Represent Alexander & Sons Construction professionally with homeowners and fellow team members.
- Assist with general remodeling tasks when needed, including framing, drywall repair, demolition, painting, and other carpentry-related work.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of finish carpentry or residential remodeling experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of trim installation, cabinetry, doors, hardware, and finish carpentry techniques.
- Ability to produce clean miters, cope inside corners, scribe material, and maintain tight reveals.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the company.
- Own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Own professional-grade hand tools required for finish carpentry.
- Comfortable using miter saws, table saws, routers, nail guns, lasers, and other woodworking tools.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work on ladders as required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus.
