Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities across manufacturing and residential settings, ensuring optimal operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and schematic reading skills, along with leadership experience in facilities maintenance. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, quality, and customer service are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and resolve automation problems.
- Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting as needed for facility upkeep.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance history.
- Supervise junior technicians or maintenance staff during projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC repairs, and general building upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and operate testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and residential painting capabilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
