Overview:
UE Manufacturing is Now Hiring Power Generation Commissioning Technician II located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. The Power Generation Commissioning Technician performs on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of power generation equipment at customer locations. This position serves as a technical resource for customers and project teams while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and manufacturer standards.
Responsibilities:
Technical Service & Repair

Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair generators.

Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service on power generation equipment.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling, control, and starting system issues.

Perform operational testing and verify equipment performance following repairs or installations.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.

Conduct load bank testing and generator performance evaluations.

Inspect transfer switches, switchgear, controls, and related power distribution equipment.

Document findings, repairs, parts usage, and recommendations through detailed service reports.
Installation & Commissioning

Support startup and commissioning of generator systems and associated equipment.

Verify installations meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and applicable codes.

Assist with system modifications, upgrades, retrofits, and equipment replacements.

Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers during installation projects.
Customer Service
-
Maintain professional and positive customer relationships.
-
Communicate repair findings, recommended work, and equipment condition clearly and effectively.

Provide operational guidance and basic training to customers when appropriate.

Respond to emergency service calls and equipment outages as assigned.
Safety & Compliance

Follow all company, customer, OSHA, environmental, and safety requirements.

Conduct pre-job hazard assessments and utilize appropriate PPE.

Maintain a safe work environment at customer sites and during travel.
-
Ensure work is performed in compliance with applicable electrical and environmental regulations.

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Administrative Responsibilities

Complete work orders, timekeeping, inspection forms, and service documentation accurately and timely.

Maintain service vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory in good working condition.

Monitor parts requirements and communicate material needs to management.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or GED and/or a technical degree, military training, or trade certifications.
Experience:
-
3+ years of power generation, electrical systems, controls or diesel engine experience for supporting Industrial, marine, data center, utility, or critical power customers preferred.

Experiencing servicing comparable systems (Cummins, CAT, Kohler, MTU, or equivalent).

Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 110, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes.

Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documents.

Ability to travel extensively and work varying schedules as business needs require.
Physical Activities & Requirements:

Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Ability to climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and work around energized equipment when required.

Ability to travel throughout assigned service territory.
-
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and emergency call-outs as business needs dictate.
Working Conditions:

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, weekend, after office hours, and holidays. Also, must endure harsh weather, field environments, and work conditions.
