Job Summary:
The Clinical Research Assistant provides administrative and clinical support to the research team to help ensure clinical studies are conducted efficiently and according to study requirements. This position assists with participant scheduling, data entry, study documentation, and research related tasks while maintaining accurate records and protecting participant confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, screen and enroll study participants
- Follow up with participants as necessary for protocol related inquries.
- Prepare, organize, file, and scan study documents.
- Enter study information into electronic databases and spreadsheets.
- Conduct participant study visits.
- Maintain organized research files and research supplies.
- Help prepare study materials and ship laboratory samples as directed.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with general office duties.
- Communicate with participants and research staff in a professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of participant information.
- Follow study procedures, company policies, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the research manager or investigator.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in clinical research or healthcare preferred
- Knowledge of clinical research regulations and GCP guidelines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems
