Duties
- Conduct precise smog inspections on standard passenger cars and light trucks, ensuring compliance with California emissions standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining inspection results
- Complete auto estimating and detailed vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and test results in accordance with state regulations.
- Keep the shop clean
Requirements
- Valid State of California Smog Technician Certification with active licensing required for performing emissions tests.
- Experience operating standard passenger cars and familiarity with automotive mechanical systems.
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on vehicle inspections, emissions testing
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about inspection results
- Physical ability for, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes and vehicle inspection protocols preferred
