Speech Language Pathologist
POSITION SUMMARY
General Summary of Responsibilities: Evaluate, treat and screen clientele for SLP services. Expected to asses, treat, and monitor patients in the areas of speech, language, swallow and cognition; and plan and develop new programs. Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, and SNF with patients ranging from pediatric to elderly adult. The ability to competently complete Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies/MBSS is an expected skill. Evaluate patients using standardized and informal methods to gain appropriate data and develop treatment plan. Practice therapy consistent with the code of ethics of the State and National Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Interpret evaluation findings, coordinate treatment plan to patient, family, and care team. Complete patient care documentation, including all forms and reports. Provide communication with and education to patient/family, other team members, employees, caregivers and other individuals within the realm of care. Provide supervision, assessments and aid in the recruitment SLP assistants and SLP Students. This individual must have appropriate communication skills to conduct essential functions and specific duties of the position. They must be able to pay attention to detail while providing and documenting patient care. This position requires good interpersonal skills to effectively work with all parties the position comes in contact with. They must be a self-starter and must work well with others in the field and on the care team. Adhere to BBGH Standards of Behavior.

Required: None
License/Certifications:
Required: Must be licensed with the State of Nebraska, Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, active member of the State Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and hold a valid driver's license.
Conditional: If completing CFY, CCC must be obtained at end of 9 months
Upon hire must provide copy of Immunization Record and disclose your current influenza immunization.
