Excavation Laborer
Job Description
Looking for someone who is willing to assist excavation crews in checking grades, digging around pipes and following detailed directions from the lead excavator. This is a physically demanding job and is performed in all types of weather. Prior excavation labor experience preferred but not required.
Qualifications: Willingness to work hard
Essential functions:
- Work with his/her hands and with power tools run by gasoline and electricity.
- Be knowledgeable of hazards and safety requirements of the job, and use personal protective equipment.
- Dig trenches and install pipe
- Ability to follow instructions, both verbal and written, but also work without constant supervision.
- ability to communicate and work with all levels of employees.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions, heat, cold, rain, snow etc.
- Physical demands: lifting, bending, climbing, use of hand tools, and standing for long periods of time.
