With General Guidance, training, and while using a microscope, the Deburr Apprentice must remove, blend, and /or smoothly polish miniature surfaces and / or edge defects, burrs, and / or contrasting colors. Must learn to select and install miniature polishing tools and miniature parts into chucks, vises, or other holding devices. Must learn how to use all documents such as, job aids, routers, FESs, and Blueprints. Must learn how to use measurement devices (calipers, gage blocks, micrometers). Must make clean and effective hand-offs from shift-to-shift. Must learn to meet production standards, navigate FlexNet, and effectively use Epicor. A successful Deburr Apprentice will possess problem-solving skills, basic math skills, a steady hand and will meet expectations for safety and earned hours.
