Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Partner to join our team in providing exceptional care to individuals in assisted living and memory care environments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing their quality of life through personalized support and care.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and welcoming environment.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of residents.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living spaces, ensuring a safe environment for all residents.
- Utilize EMR systems for documentation of care provided and resident progress.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Support residents with dementia and Alzheimer's care, employing effective behavior management techniques as needed.
- Drive residents to appointments or community activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with caregiving for individuals with disabilities, including experience in group homes or personal care homes.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols is essential.
- Experience using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment is preferred.
- Background in social work or related fields is a plus, particularly in working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
