Job Duties:
- Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites
- Install underground or aerial telecommunications or power cabling
- Use hand tools such as shovels, and/or equipment to locate underground utilities and infrastructure and restoral work
- Assist in pushing and pulling conduit and cable
- Drive company vehicles to and from job site which may include towing of trailers
- Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewmen and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
- Light cleaning and maintenance of company vehicles, tools and machinery
- Safety training as required by position
- Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have valid driver’s license or be willing to obtain
- Ability to communicate and listen effectively with customers, employees, etc.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
Preferred Skills:
- Class A Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain
- Experience in telecommunications or utilities infrastructure
Physical Demands: The individual in this role must be able to meet the occupational demands listed below.
- Must be able to endure activity involved with the job which may include prolonged and repeated lifting, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, kneeling, reaching, digging, standing and walking.
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds
