**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist with cardiology experience preferred to join our healthcare team. As a receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in a busy clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in a fast paced enviroment to check in patients, check out, data entry, scan and collect copayments. The receptionist plays a vital role as the face of the company. The receptionist must be calm, passionate and be patient with elderly patients. The Receptionist-Medical Assistant will work in our high pace setting supporting our team of physicians and midlevel provider in providing high-quality and efficient patient care.
**Responsibilities: **
- Schedule Appointments
-Checking in, registering and checking out patients
-Collecting Copayments
-Verifying insurance benefits
-Preparing daily schedules to ensure accuracy
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient calls, medications etc
- Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, scanning, faxing medical records and answering phone calls.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Provide patient education and support, including educating patients on medications and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Submit Authorization for the center as needed per patient care needs.
**Skills**
- Ability to traige patient and hospital calls.
-Ability to multitask and prioritize task
-Must have great time management
-Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, particularly in cardiology and emergency medicine.
-Basic medical terminolgy knowledge.
- Experience working in a clinic setting 1 year.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide patient education and support.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
