The Sand & Finish Technician is responsible to help the Sand & Finish Manager with all the site finish/refinish jobs.
The Sand & Finish Technician has the freedom and is encouraged to improve his skills and find ways to better the systems in place. Bring any opportunities to learn or things they want to do to the attention of the CEO.
Approximately 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Salary and Benefits
- Pay starting at $18 hourly minimum. Starting pay dependent on previous experience. Will be revisited every 6 months as skills and work flow increases
- 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years of employment for full time employees

Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Drivers License preferred

Tasks Responsible For
- Site Prep
- Move Furniture, Appliances, and Toilets
- Removing any necessary trim
- Dust Containment; Plastic as needed
- Sanding
- Run all the sanders and learn knew ones. Big Machine, Planetary, Edgers, Buffers
- Understand sanding sequences and what it takes to get a floor perfect every time
- Staining and Finishing
- Understand and Learn how to water pop, staining with all the various methods, different pre-stain solutions, finishes with the different sheens
- Different Colors and the science behind it
- Different finishes and the different methods to apply
- Finishing Touches
- Remove any Plastic tape and reinstall trim. Either before or after final coat.
- Ect.
- Communication with our clients is top priority. If you don’t know the answer to something, find out, and get back to the client or let the S&F manager or Office Manager know.
- Enough install knowledge to do small repairs, vent replacements, ect.
