Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
- Support residents with medication reminders following prescribed guidelines and safety protocols
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional comfort
- Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques to prevent injury during transfers or repositioning
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for clients with special dietary needs
- Maintain cleanliness of client homes rooms and common areas to uphold hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's disease, memory care, and behavioral management strategies
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required or obtainable upon hiring, company will pay for CPR if needed
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Physical ability to perform a hoyer lift, training will be provided as needed
