JW Aluminum MVS is in search of an experienced Maintenance Operator/Millwright with an established background in facilities/maintenance. The role of the Maintenance Operator is to facilitate the unification of maintenance and operations best practices to maximize equipment performance and reliability. The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Operator will include a combination of equipment operation and maintenance.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
· Operate equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous improvement of safety, quality, and productivity.
· Perform routine maintenance of production equipment including troubleshooting, replacement and repair.
· Responsible for executing daily Preventive Maintenance and Inspection tasks. Responsible for executing assigned mechanical corrective work orders related to the priority of the business.
· Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment in compliance with standard work, mechanical codes and adherence to safety regulations.
· Proficient with hydraulic, pneumatic, and other mechanical systems and circuits, as well as contributing to improved designs and manufacturing processes.
· Maintain records of mechanical PM’s as well as work order completion including labor and parts charges in CMMS.
· Coordinate maintenance work and partner with the Reliability Team during planned outages.
· Understanding the concept of “Equipment Reliability”, as it pertains to Preventive Maintenance, Infrared Thermography, Tribology, and Vibration analysis.
Requirements
· High School diploma with 1-3 years of mechanically based technical experience in Industrial Manufacturing.
· Hands-on experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or equivalent
· Demonstrated application of precision installation and repair (e.g. dynamic balancing, equipment alignment and leveling, setting bearings)
· Familiar with the applications of Predictive Maintenance or Condition-Based Monitoring (Vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic emissions).
· Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Oracle)
· Must be able to perform all physical functions of working in a manufacturing environment such as, climbing, standing, bending, reaching and squatting. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
· Working with and near mechanical machinery and equipment. Working in and on machines in a hot environment.
· Shift work and overtime required. Weekend and holiday support, as needed.
