Clinical Assistant (Part-Time)
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 12–15 hours per week
Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
About the Role: We are seeking a motivated, patient-focused Clinical Assistant to support our wellness-focused clinic. This role includes patient workups, nutritional counseling, clinical support, and limited front desk duties (answering phones and checking in patients only — no cash handling or deposits).
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Obtain patient vitals and assist with patient workups
- Administer vitamin and GLP medication injections (per training, protocol, and prescription)
- Provide nutritional guidance, review food journals, and encourage patient progress
- Track patient progress and document in the EMR
Medication Room Support
- Conduct medication inventory counts pre- and post-clinic and dispense medications as prescribed within scope of practice
- Follow clinic protocols for medication handling
- Ensure accurate documentation for regulatory and legal compliance
Patient Engagement & Administrative Support
- Educate patients on available products and services
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and support clinic preparation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Background in healthcare, medical assisting, wellness, or weight loss preferred
- Injection experience preferred or willingness to be trained
- Strong communication skills, comfortable working directly with patients
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and basic computer skills
Compliance & Scope of Practice
- All clinical duties, including injections and medication support, are performed in accordance with clinic protocols, provider orders, state regulations, and scope of practice
