Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience and promote sales of beverages and food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods efficiently.
- Develop new beverage recipes and assist in menu updates to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow during events like banquets or catering functions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry; willing to train those without experience.
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, spirits, and craft beer trends.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders efficiently.
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods without sacrificing quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and inventory calculations; retail math experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in accordance with health regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Previous experience with beverage recipe development and mixology techniques is preferred.
