Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their deli orders
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and hot foods
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Stock and rotate deli products to ensure freshness
- Follow food safety guidelines and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Upsell deli products to increase sales
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
Skills:
- Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Restaurant experience: Familiarity with working in a restaurant or food service setting
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling techniques to maintain quality and safety standards
- Bussing: Ability to clear tables and clean dining areas as needed
- Culinary skills: Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Food service: Understanding of customer service principles in a food service setting
- Retail math: Proficiency in basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Upselling: Ability to suggest additional products or upgrades to customers to increase sales
- Sanitation: Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment
