We are looking for a Host/Expo/Bus Person to support our wait staff and set up our dining areas. Host/Expo/Bus Person responsibilities include but are not limited to serving plates, glasses and silverware, refilling beverages and cleaning and resetting tables. As well as, taking food orders over the phone, expediting food for dine in and to-go orders and running food. Ultimately, you will ensure our daily operations run smoothly and our guests have a pleasant dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
- Decorate tables with candles, napkins, linens and chop sticks
- Place tableware and condiments on tables
- Serve water
- Refill beverages and take orders
- Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed
- Provide special silverware sets to families with young children
- Seat guests and hand out menus as they come in
- Answer phones and take carry out orders
- Clean and reset tables after guests leave
- Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
Skills
- Work experience as a Busser, Food Runner or Food expeditor a plus.
- Flexibility to work long shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays, busts and stand for long hours without sitting.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to answer phones and communicate professionally with guests.
