Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to accurately execute projects.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
- Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to ensure electrical components are integrated seamlessly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports and system logs.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times, especially when working on construction sites or with high-voltage equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of NEC standards and low/high voltage electrical systems.
- Construction site experience with renovation or new construction projects preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics accurately.
- Strong background in frame carpentry or handyman skills is a plus for versatile troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and safety compliance.
