Job Title: Middle School Science Teacher (Grades 6–8)
Location: Saint Joseph Catholic School
Saint Joseph Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Science Teacher to inspire students in Grades 6–8 through engaging, hands-on, and inquiry-based instruction. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science while integrating Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom culture.

Plan and deliver high-quality science instruction aligned with Indiana Academic Standards and diocesan curriculum expectations

Teach life, earth, and physical science concepts using hands-on labs, experiments, and real-world applications

Develop lesson plans that promote inquiry, problem-solving, and student engagement

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including multilingual and special education students

Integrate technology and STEM-based learning experiences into instruction

Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instruction

Maintain a positive, structured, and faith-filled classroom environment

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum alignment, student support, and school initiatives

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or related field

Valid Indiana teaching license or ability to obtain one

Classroom teaching experience preferred
