Overview
- Available Weekend Shift Hours (schedule negotiable): Friday 3:30pm - midnight; Saturday - Sunday 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Pay rate: $22.00 - $30.00 / hour, based on relevant experience
- FLSA Status: non-exempt
What You’ll Do:
- Setup and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and optical comparators to perform inspections on metallic parts.
- Conduct visual inspections using magnifiers, calipers, and micrometers to detect scratches, dents, gouges, burrs, and dimensional nonconformances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, routers and work instructions including GD&T callouts on machine prints.
- Generate inspection reports and FAI reports.
- Record and report any non-conformances in a clear, concise manner.
- Use precision measuring instruments to perform inspections.
- Review job records during inspections to verify compliance of manufactured parts with tolerances and specifications.
What We’re Looking For.
- 1-2+ years of quality control or inspection experience, ideally in a machining or manufacturing setting
- Fundamental mechanical and mathematical knowledge
- Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.
- Basic understanding of drawing and specification interpretation preferred.
- Basic understanding of metrology tools and devices including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, height stands, dial indicators, thread ring and plug gages, bore gages, etc. preferred.
- Experience or the ability to learn basic Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations.
- Basic Microsoft 365 computer skills required.
- Capable of performing inspection planning.
- Able to work as a team player with minimal supervision.
- A high degree of organization and communication skills.
