POSITION: Purchasing Specialist
PAY: $32.00–$36.00/hr (DOE)
LOCATION: Onsite – Tukwila, WA
SCHEDULE: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
DURATION: 2–3 Month Contract with Potential for Permanent Hire

POSITION SUMMARY
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, supplies, and services necessary to support manufacturing operations. This role oversees the full purchasing lifecycle, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, issuing and tracking purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining strong vendor partnerships. Working closely with production, operations, inventory, and accounting teams, the Purchasing Specialist helps ensure materials are available when needed while supporting cost-control initiatives and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or buyer experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience utilizing ERP systems for purchasing and inventory management
Preferred
- Experience with Epicor ERP
- Knowledge of inventory management principles
- Understanding of production planning and demand forecasting
- Continuous improvement or process optimization experience
