The Jackson County Expo is not your typical county department. This position involves both indoor and outdoor work – everything from sweeping and mopping to moving animal manure. We do it all.
The team member in this role performs general manual labor related to event set-up and tear-down, assists with day-to-day facility and grounds maintenance, and supports a wide variety of operational needs.
This classification requires intermediate to advanced skills in several areas, including heavy equipment operation, truck driving, the use of maintenance and power tools, and operation of other specialized equipment.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Tractor experience is a must for this position.

Because the role involves frequent interaction with vendors, event organizers, and the public, strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

This position also requires a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, depending on the event needs.
