What You’ll Do:
- Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students during the school day
- Provide direct 1:1 or small group assistance as guided by teachers and staff
- Help students with classroom participation, daily routines, and transitions
- Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs where applicable
- Ensure safety, inclusion, and respect within all learning environments
- Support students’ mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Willingness to complete TB testing and all required clearances (can be obtained before starting)
- Capable of standing, walking, and occasionally assisting with lifting
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care strongly preferred
- Comfort assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral and emotional challenges
- Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques is an asset (not mandatory)
- Reliable, positive attitude and a strong team approach
