About the Role: We are seeking self-motivated and reliable 1099 Independent Contractors based in Southern California (LA, San Diego, or OC) to join our growing field operations. Whether you have foundational experience or are looking to expand your skills, we provide on-the-job training to ensure you are confident and successful on-site. We value long-term partner relationships and offer advancement opportunities into Field Lead and Senior Specialist roles for dependable contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned commercial client sites to perform installations, equipment rollouts, or site surveys.
- Complete hands-on training to execute scoped work according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Review project scopes of work (SOW) prior to arriving on-site and coordinate with project managers on daily milestone completions.
- Maintain professional on-site communication with store managers and team leads.
Requirements:
- Location: Must reside in or around Los Angeles, San Diego, or Orange County.
- Skills: Basic technical aptitude or experience in field service/installations (we will train you on our specific processes!).
- Tools & Transport: Must have your own basic hand/power tools and reliable personal transport.
- Licensing & Documents: Valid Driver’s License and active status as an independent contractor (W-9 required).
- Insurance: Must carry or be willing to obtain General Liability and Occupational Accident/Workers' Comp coverage.
- Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working on ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasionally working evening/night shifts depending on client access hours.
Schedule, Travel & Pay:
- Deployment Length: Projects typically run 1 to 3 weeks at a time with home time between rotations.
- Pay Frequency: Weekly direct deposit (upon timesheet/invoice submission)
- Travel: 100% project-based travel required (all lodging, per diem, and transit costs fully covered)
