Full-Time
Primarily afternoon and evening shifts
Typical hours: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Every other weekend required
Holiday rotation as needed
As a Cook in our Health Care Center, you will:
Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and resident dietary requirements
Ensure food is prepared, portioned, and presented according to Larksfield Place standards
Assist with meal service for residents in skilled nursing and healthcare settings
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
Monitor food quality, temperatures, and storage procedures
Assist with food preparation, inventory rotation, and kitchen organization
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and service areas
Communicate effectively with dietary team members regarding resident needs and menu execution
Support a positive dining experience for residents through consistency and attention to detail
Follow infection control, allergen awareness, and cross-contamination prevention procedures
Minimum of two years of professional cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, or similar food service environment
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical kitchen duties throughout the shift
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must pass a TB screening
High school diploma or GED preferred
Kansas Food Handler's Card required
ServSafe Certification preferred
