Key Qualifications:
- Valid Adapted Curriculum K-12 license (strictly no provisional licenses; please verify with VDOE)
- Alternatively, a General Curriculum K-12 license with proven experience in self-contained classrooms and comfort in behavioral support
- Demonstrated ability to provide intensive academic and behavioral intervention at the elementary level
- Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in educational environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral support to elementary students with a range of needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state standards
- Collaborate closely with parents, administrators, and classroom staff to foster a supportive learning environment
- Utilize adaptive strategies and interventions tailored to student strengths and challenges
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
- Participate in ongoing professional development
