Job Overview
The Project Controls Coordinator supports project controls and project management teams by providing cost analysis, forecasting, schedule tracking, and construction reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This role is responsible for monitoring project performance, maintaining cost and schedule data, supporting change management activities, and ensuring accurate reporting of project financial and scheduling information. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with project teams and contractors in both office and field environments.
Key Responsibilities

Support daily LEMS processes and ensure timely completion of project controls activities.

Maintain and update project cost data within the EcoSys cost management system.

Track and analyze incurred project costs to support accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

Validate schedule progress, percentage complete, and actual versus forecasted start and finish dates with contractors on a weekly basis.

Monitor project schedules and support schedule performance analysis using Primavera P6.

Develop, maintain, and analyze project forecasts, including forecast-at-completion metrics.

Support earned value management (EVM) reporting and performance measurement activities.

Assist with the project change management process, including documentation, tracking, and analysis of changes.

Provide accurate and timely cost and schedule information to Project Controls Analysts and project stakeholders.

Prepare and distribute weekly construction and project performance reports.

Identify potential cost and schedule variances and communicate findings to project teams.

Support field and site-based project controls activities as required.

Collaborate with project management, construction teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and reporting files.

Perform additional project controls and reporting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in project controls, cost analysis, project coordination, construction, engineering, or a related industry.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Experience working with project cost management systems, preferably EcoSys.

Familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling software and schedule management principles.

Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and reporting methodologies.

Knowledge of project cost forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret project schedules, cost reports, and performance metrics.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Working Conditions

Combination of office and field-based work environments.

Regular travel to project and construction sites may be required to support field cost analysis and project controls activities.

May require visits to active construction sites and operational facilities.

Occasional overtime may be required to support project schedules and reporting deadlines.
Additional Requirements

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory driver's abstract due to travel requirements associated with site visits and field work.
