Texas State Optical Buda is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant to provide exam room assistance for our busy practice.
Job Duties
- Assist doctor with patient vision and eye health evaluations
- Prepare exam room instrumentation, display preliminary diagnostic testing for the doctor
- Enter patient data into electronic medical record, including appropriate prescriptions, clinical findings, diagnoses, follow-up instructions as directed by the doctor
- Assist with e-prescribing, schedule appointments electronically, send follow-up correspondence to referring physicians
- Provide follow-up educational information to patients
Qualifications
- Excellent social and communication skills
- Friendly, bright and detail-oriented
- Accurate, organized, good follow-through
- Strong technical ability
- Needs good listening skills and attention to details
- Patient experience is a plus but not required
- Willing to work in a positive team environment
