Florida Low Cost Pet Clinic is looking for a compassionate and motivated Veterinarian to join our growing team!
We are a busy, community-focused, low-cost veterinary clinic dedicated to making quality veterinary care accessible and affordable to pet owners. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and animals, communicates well, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the community.
New graduates are absolutely welcome to apply! We understand that experience comes with time, and we are happy to consider a newly graduated veterinarian who is motivated, responsible, eager to learn, and interested in building confidence and experience in a busy clinical environment.
Schedule & Commitment
We are looking for a veterinarian who can make a consistent, long-term commitment of 2–3 fixed days per week with our clinic.
Wednesdays are required, with the additional day(s) being flexible based on your availability. Sunday, Monday, or another mutually agreed-upon day may be considered.
- Wednesday availability is required
- Commitment of 2–3 consistent days per week
- Hours: 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- In-person position
- Location: Margate, Florida
We are specifically looking for someone interested in becoming a consistent part of our team rather than occasional relief coverage.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Our clinic typically sees approximately 10–25 patients per day, with the majority of appointments focused on:
- Wellness and preventive care exams
- Vaccinations
- Puppy and kitten visits
- Routine sick visits
- Heartworm and fecal testing
- Ear and skin concerns
- Preventive care
- Basic outpatient treatments and follow-ups
Because we are a low-cost clinic serving the community, our environment can be fast-paced and high-volume, so we are looking for someone who can provide compassionate, efficient care while working closely with our veterinary support team.
We have IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment for bloodwork and diagnostics, as well as access to IDEXX Reference Laboratories for additional testing.
No Surgery Requirement
Surgery and major procedures are not required for this position.
Our more advanced surgical cases are primarily handled separately by an experienced veterinarian, allowing this position to focus mainly on outpatient medicine, wellness, preventive care, and general practice.
However, surgical experience is a big plus! If you are comfortable performing procedures—particularly routine dog and cat spays and neuters—we would be happy to discuss expanding your role.
Additional compensation may be available for veterinarians with surgical experience, depending on skills and the procedures they are comfortable performing.
