Immigration Paralegal – Full-Time or Part-Time (Hybrid Option Available)
As an expansion of De Maio Law, we are seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join our De Maio Law team, a fast-paced and multicultural immigration practice. This position is available immediately and may be structured as full-time or part-time, with a hybrid work option after the initial training period. Candidates MUST HAVE a minimum of two (2) years of experience in immigration law.
Primary Responsibilities:
The paralegal will work directly with the Managing Attorney and support a wide range of immigration matters, including:
Family-Based & Humanitarian Filings:

Preparing family-based petitions (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-864, I-131, etc.).

Preparing K-1 fiancé(e) visa applications.
-
Assisting with VAWA, U Visas, Parole in Place, and TPS packages.
-
Drafting hardship statements, support letters, and affidavits.
Removal Defense & EOIR (THIS IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR):

Preparing Cancellation of Removal 42A/42B applications.

Assisting with bond packets, motions, briefs, and supporting documents.

Preparing filings for Master Calendar and Individual Hearings.

Experience with ECAS (very important).
Asylum (Affirmative & Defensive):

Drafting and assembling I-589 asylum applications.

Conducting country conditions research.
-
Preparing asylum declarations with clients.
Waivers & Consular Processing:
-
Preparing I-601, I-601A, I-212, and National Visa Center submissions. (very important).

Reviewing and organizing evidence for complex inadmissibility waivers.

Assisting with consular processing and communication with NVC/embassies.
Naturalization & Citizenship:
-
Preparing N-400 and N-600 applications and supporting documents.
Case Support, Drafting & Client Interaction:
-
Completing all immigration forms accurately.

Maintaining regular communication with clients.

Organizing and maintaining digital files.
-
Monitoring case status, RFEs, biometrics, and appointments.
Administrative & Office Support:

Managing deadlines and calendars.
-
Scheduling client meetings and attorney appointments.
-
Providing support with general office tasks when needed.
Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years of experience as an immigration paralegal (THIS IS A MUST).

Experience with USCIS and EOIR filings.

Bilingual: English–Spanish (THIS IS A MUST).

Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
