Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Tag and Title Clerk, where you will play a vital role in managing vehicle documentation processes with precision and efficiency. You will be the key point of contact for handling all administrative aspects of vehicle titles and tags, contributing to the seamless flow of automotive transactions.
Duties
- Prepare, process, and verify vehicle titles, registrations, and tags in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all vehicle documentation transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with sales teams to facilitate the transfer of titles and registration paperwork for new and used vehicles.
- Manage inventory control of tags, decals, and related documentation supplies to prevent shortages or delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining title and registration procedures clearly and professionally.
- Ensure timely submission of paperwork to appropriate government agencies and follow up on pending transactions.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and phone etiquette to support overall dealership operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive dealership operations or administrative roles involving vehicle documentation is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, title processing software, or DMV procedures is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities or multilingual proficiency, are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive legal documents related to vehicle ownership.
- Experience with retail sales, cashiering, or customer service roles enhances your ability to assist clients effectively.
