Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food and beverage orders in a friendly, efficient manner
- Operate Toast POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Manage food service customer orders, ensuring proper food handling and timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across the workspace, including food prep areas and dining spaces
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy
- Operate kitchen equipment safely when assisting with food preparation or service support
- Ensure compliance with food safety management protocols and sanitation regulations at all times
- Assist in processing grocery store or retail sales transactions as needed
- Support quick service or fast-food restaurant operations by managing customer flow efficiently
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash register operations and process cash transactions accurately
- Experience with food preparation, handling, and safety standards within the food industry or café setting is desirable
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment and maintaining a clean workspace
- Retail sales experience involving upselling techniques is advantageous
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and transaction processing
