Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their preferences and needs
- Provide detailed product demos and educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure retail store product knowledge is current and comprehensive
- Conduct inventory checks, manage stock levels, and assist with merchandising to maintain an attractive store environment
- Handle retail store operations such as cashiering, retail math calculations, and phone etiquette with professionalism and clarity
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles, preferably within the cannabis or related industry
- Supervising experience is a plus; capable of guiding team members and maintaining store standards
- Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases
- Skilled in POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and stock management
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales and inventory purposes
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while ensuring compliance with legal regulations
