This role will provide full support to the company’s internal departments by communicating availability for on time delivery to both internal and external customers. This position will also require a high level of detailed communication with management and off-site factory personnel as well as strategic planning, warehousing, quality, and other functions within our business as needed.
Job responsibilities:
- Prepares RFQ packages, reviews quotes & makes recommendations, and obtains feedback or approval from management
- Responsible for analyzing sales data over time to predict future inventory needs
- Responsible for providing sales forecasts and reports to management on a regular basis and ad hoc reports as needed.
- Negotiate competitive pricing and optimal order quantities.
- Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing for external customers
- Negotiate contracts and agreements as necessary.
- Monitors daily inventory levels to ensure delivery performance and inventory levels are within range
- Investigate purchase order/invoice discrepancies with vendors
- Ensures best practices in procurement processes
- Effectively communicates with inter departments and management regarding inventory levels, quality issues, and all other business related topics.
- Performs various other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Inquisitive, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving
- Highly Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and results oriented
Required Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years in supply chain and planning
Preferred:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Management or related field
- Prior experience working in eCommerce; Pay will be based on experience level
