As a Scrap Yard Laborer / Metal Processor, you’ll handle a variety of physical and mechanical tasks that keep the yard running. This includes unloading vehicles, sorting and processing metals, and preparing materials for recycling. No two days are the same — it’s fast-paced, physical work that rewards effort and reliability. Pay depends on experience
Responsibilities
- Unload vehicles and materials safely and efficiently
- Sort and process metals (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.)
- Operate basic equipment and hand tools (torches, shears, etc.)
- Assist with cutting, cleaning, and organizing materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Communicate with scale operators and customers as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and reliability — must show up ready to work
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Basic mechanical skills a plus (not required)
- Willingness to learn and take direction

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
