Purpose: The Financial Reporting Manager is a hands-on manager who primarily facilitates the monthly close and reconciliation process and prepares for the annual and quarterly financial audits. This role has two direct reports and collaborates across the worldwide finance team. This position is a manager role with growth potential to become the Corporate Controller.
Core responsibilities:
1. Ensure timely and accurate month-end close for Corporate HQ and oversee worldwide consolidation.
2. Review manual journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Prepare analysis and perform required journal entries on more complex accounts.
4. Investigate non-recurring items and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
5. Review worldwide financial results to ensure accuracy.
6. Prepare, collect and review documentation for annual and quarterly external and internal audits.
7. Respond to auditor inquiries.
8. Facilitate annual 401K audit.
9. Conduct IFRS research on accounting issues. Keep abreast of proposed IFRS changes to accounting and reporting requirements.
10. Perform financial profitability analysis, utilizing data warehouse tools.
11. Review monthly P&L performance against budget and periodically meet with department leaders to take corrective actions, if needed.
12. Perform other projects, work and activities as assigned to deliver consistent internal and external customer service.
Direct Reports: GL Accountants
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· 3+ years of corporate accounting experience showing progression; additional 2+ years of public accounting experience
· Experience in a multi-national corporation with multiple currencies and intercompany transactions
· Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, macros, etc.)
· CPA certification desired, but not required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Strong knowledge of accounting & finance principles
· Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
· Willingness to self-teach/research IFRS rules
· Hands-on leader that is not afraid of rolling up their sleeves to achieve the right outcomes
· High standard of organization and accuracy

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
