Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs for repairs or maintenance.
- Prepare detailed repair orders using estimating software, ensuring all necessary repairs—such as oil changes, brake repair, transmissions, suspension work, tire service, and collision repair—are clearly outlined.
- Communicate effectively with service technicians to relay customer concerns and facilitate accurate diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools.
- Provide transparent estimates for repairs and recommend additional services or upgrades through upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
- Track vehicle progress throughout the service process, update customers on status changes, and ensure timely completion of work.
- Handle cash transactions securely and maintain precise records of all client interactions and sales activities.
- Promote dealership services by educating customers on auto service management options like alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, diesel engine repairs, and other specialized automotive repairs.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair or service technician roles.
- Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools for accurate quoting.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with dealership operations, auto estimating, sales techniques, and upselling strategies.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and processes for identifying issues related to transmissions, suspensions, brakes, oil changes, tire services, and collision repairs.
- Knowledge of various automotive systems including air brakes, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engines, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
