Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead and oversee complex engineering projects across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, construction, and systems engineering. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management, system design, and mechanical and civil engineering disciplines. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Senior Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving innovation through research, data analysis, and advanced technical skills such as CAD design, programming, and schematic development. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely delivery of engineering initiatives
- Lead root cause analysis efforts to troubleshoot technical issues during project execution
- Create detailed schematics and system designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools
- Manage cross-functional teams in manufacturing, construction, and laboratory environments
- Oversee system design processes incorporating systems engineering principles and GD&T standards
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, MATLAB, and scripting for automation and data analysis
- Conduct research and data collection to inform project decisions and optimize processes
- Apply mechanical knowledge to develop mechanical designs and utilize 3D scanners for precise measurements
- Coordinate with civil engineers on infrastructure-related aspects of projects
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality assurance protocols throughout project lifecycle
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields; advanced degrees preferred
- Proven experience in project management within manufacturing or construction sectors
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and 3D scanning technologies
- Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and system design principles
- Hands-on laboratory experience with data collection, analysis skills, and research methodologies
- Familiarity with GD&T standards for mechanical drawings and schematic documentation
- Programming expertise in Python, C++, MATLAB, and scripting languages for automation tasks
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles combined with systems engineering approaches
- Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently to resolve technical issues promptly
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
