Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented R&D Chemist to join our innovative research and development team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating groundbreaking formulations and advancing scientific understanding within the pharmaceutical landscape. Your work will directly contribute to developing new products that improve patient outcomes and expand our company's scientific capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
The R&D Chemist will complete routine assignments and assist as needed on special projects and NCR/OOS investigations (Other duties may be assigned).
The R&D Chemist will:
· Perform, record and report the results of chemical tests for raw material, in-process and finished products by using various instruments such as HPLC, GC, GC/MS, FT-IR, UV, and AA.
· Participate in analytical method development and execute method validation for pharmaceutical products.
· Perform formulation studies for various dosage forms.
· Perform new product development and scale-up studies.
· Incorporate regulatory compliance of cGMP/GLP standards into SOPs, protocols and LTMs.
· Perform investigation of out-of-specifications or out-of-trend test results as directed.
· SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: may train and supervise new employees as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or relevant scientific degree from a four-year college or university
- Must have work experience in performing various wet chemistry tests
- Experience in the use of UV/VIS, pH meters, and balances is required.
- Familiarity with HPLC, GC, and FTIR is preferred
· Able to understand and perform analysis per written LTMs and SOPs.
· Working knowledge of cGMPs, in the pharmaceutical industry, is preferred.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
