Job Overview
We seek a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical team. You will provide clinical care, client education, and support within our free pregnancy center setting. You will work collaboratively with our medical director, volunteers, and client-services staff to deliver safe, evidence-based care in alignment with our mission.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, and detailed history-taking to inform individualized care plans.
- Administer Urinary Pregnancy Tests.
- Conduct Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds (Training Provided)
- Conduct procedures such as specimen collection with aseptic technique to prevent infections.
- Utilize EHR system to document patient information meticulously and ensure seamless medical records management.
- Provide evidence based education related to pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed as well as ensuring all logs are maintained.
- Support infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with AAAHC standards to optimize patient outcomes.
- Oversee the training and performance of all medical volunteers.
- Uphold a welcoming, non-judgmental environment for all clients; role model the organization’s values of dignity, respect and support regardless of marital status, income, age, orientation or religion.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the State of Washington (or eligible for licensure).
- Demonstrated experience in women’s health, obstetrics, or client-focused care preferred.
- Proficiency in performing limited obstetrical ultrasounds or willingness to train.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with clients compassionately and clearly.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, PHI/HIPAA requirements and high standards of confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to evolving program needs, and support a small-team, mission-driven organization.
- Commitment to the organization’s values: providing free, safe, non-judgmental services, and supporting clients in making informed decisions.
- Comfortable working in a non-profit environment, sometimes wearing multiple hats (clinical + education + outreach).
- Ability to schedule will include weekday hours (Mon–Thu, 9:30 am–4 pm with some flexibility as program needs evolve.
