Overview
We are hiring regular full time and part time FedEx Delivery drivers with work-related driving experience and a strong work ethic to make local residential and business deliveries. (CDL License Not required) If you have been a Local Driver, Route Drivers, Truck Drivers, Couriers, Pick Up Drivers, Delivery drivers - and if you have driven for UPS, Amazon, previous FedEx companies, DHL, Wal-Mart, Uber, Lyft or any other similar companies that is a plus; and we have a job waiting for you as we are hiring urgently and immediately.
Requirements:
- ∙ Be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- ∙ Pass a drug test (includes marijuana) with continued random drug screens throughout employment
- ∙ Be able to safely lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and up to 150 lbs. with hand truck
- ∙ Pass FedEx Ground criminal background check
- ∙ Have reliable transportation to and from work -️ Be on time and ready to work each workday
- ∙ Be able to climb stairs
- ∙ Be able to work in all types of weather
- ∙ Have a strong work ethic and get it done attitude
Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring that all packages are handled with care.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including tracking deliveries and obtaining signatures when required.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS or maps to ensure timely arrivals at delivery points.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including organizing inventory and managing stock levels.
Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with clients.
- Experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment is advantageous.
- Previous experience in delivery driving or moving services is a plus.
- Excellent driving record with a valid driver's license and the ability to pass any required background checks.
