Job Summary:
Our Document Processors are responsible for preparing, processing, and filing Power of Attorney (POA) forms with the Internal Revenue Service and various state taxing agencies while managing a wide variety of client documentation. This role includes obtaining tax records directly from federal and state agencies, processing digital client documents, maintaining accurate records within the company's database, and ensuring all client information is properly organized and up to date. The Document Processing team plays a critical role in supporting both the Resolution and Tax Preparation departments by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and readily available to staff.
Responsibilities will primarily include, but may not be limited to::
- Fulfill all requests from team members to create, update, and process client Power of Attorney (POA) forms.
- Prepare, submit, and monitor POA filings with the IRS and state taxing agencies.
- Contact the IRS and state Departments of Revenue to request transcripts, account information, tax records, and other documentation not readily available through electronic systems.
- Scan, upload, and organize client documents within the company's client database.
- Process electronic documents received from clients, including tax documents, organizers, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
- Update client records and maintain accurate data fields within the company's CRM/database.
- Generate reports and maintain organized digital filing systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Perform general clerical and administrative duties in support of the Resolution and Tax Preparation departments.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- 1+ year(s) of administrative experience
- GED or High School Diploma
- Proficient reading & writing skills
- Proficient experience in Microsoft Office and CRM databases
