Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh pizza dough, ensuring proper mixing, kneading, and resting techniques for optimal texture and flavor
- Select and assemble toppings with precision, maintaining consistency across all pizzas
- Operate pizza ovens efficiently to cook pizzas to perfection, monitoring temperature and cooking times
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas following food safety procedures
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties and seasonal specials based on customer preferences
- Support food production during busy hours by managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for guests
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, especially within a restaurant or high-volume kitchen setting
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food sanitizing procedures
- Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of food safety management practices and sanitation protocols
- Experience with menu planning, food service operations, and catering is desirable
- Prior culinary experience in fine dining or similar settings will be highly valued
