Conley Isuzu Truck Center is looking for a motivated Apprentice Technician who is eager to build a long-term career in the commercial truck industry. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a strong work ethic, and wants to learn from experienced professionals while building a rewarding career. You'll gain experience in both our service and parts departments, giving you a well-rounded understanding of dealership operations and a clear path toward becoming a Certified Medium Duty Technician.
ResponsibilitiesService Department
- Perform multi-point vehicle inspections
- Perform oil changes and routine preventive maintenance
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new commercial trucks
- Assist technicians with repairs and diagnostics
- Perform basic mechanical repairs under the supervision of senior technicians
- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization
- Prepare vehicles for customer delivery
- Assist with Mobile Service vehicle preparation as needed
Parts Department
- Deliver parts and supplies to technicians
- Assist with receiving and stocking inventory
- Help maintain an organized parts warehouse
- Assist with wholesale parts operations and customer order fulfillment
- Pull and stage parts for repair orders
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts
- Support the parts team with daily operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Automotive or diesel school experience is a plus
- Previous automotive, truck, equipment, or mechanical experience is helpful but not required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CDL is a plus but not required
Compensation & Benefits
