Job Description:
Prepares financial reports and analyses for CoBank's regulatory reporting requirements and internal executive management reports, ensuring compliance with Farm Credit Administration regulations and other applicable financial reporting standards. Assists with special projects within the Controller Division, including system implementation work and process improvements. Develops and maintains automated financial reporting processes and workflows.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares regulatory analysis and reporting focused on CoBank’s quarterly call reports and capital ratios. Coordinates completion of all aspects of CoBank’s internal executive management reports, including key financial ratios, asset quality metrics, key indicators, and trend analysis.

Provides support related to the source data for all regulatory reporting requirements for CoBank and the district, ensuring that any changes to source data are appropriately and consistently incorporated into reporting deliverables.

Maintains department controls, processes, and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and industry practices.

Maintains current knowledge of accounting and regulatory rules and assists in evaluating their impact on CoBank and district reporting. Assists manager with research and analysis supporting management initiatives and supports the implementation of approved accounting treatments.

Identifies opportunities to improve and streamline reporting processes and supports the implementation of process improvements with other groups within CoBank and the district.

Prepares, updates, and maintains relevant desk procedures.

Participates in special projects and other deliverables as assigned, including user acceptance testing, report updates, and spreadsheet maintenance.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or relevant discipline required
Work Experience:
- 2 years of financial reporting and/or corporate accounting experience, preferably in banking or the financial services industry required

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing commitments in accordance with established deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and build relationships with associates and management at all levels across the bank.

Ability to independently research and report results.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).

Experience with financial reporting tools, such as Hyperion and Oracle (e.g. FCCS, Peoplesoft and Smartview) preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $81,500 - $93,200. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.m The listed salary, other compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
