Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our manufacturing and residential facilities. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and overseeing repairs. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to support facility operations or manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with facilities maintenance projects including residential painting, carpentry, and general repairs to enhance safety and aesthetics.
- Supervise or coordinate with team members during maintenance tasks to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems efficiently.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment is running smoothly with minimal downtime.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from internal teams or tenants.
- Lead or assist in supervising junior technicians or apprentices when necessary to foster team development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or related fields with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Skilled in welding techniques and familiar with residential painting practices.
- Electrical experience including use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for circuit testing.
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are preferred for team coordination roles.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance standards including plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and general repairs.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
