American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a night shift ICU position in Illinois, requiring at least one year of acute care critical care experience and an active IL RN license.

ICU setting within an acute care hospital
-
May float between the ICU and Telemetry unit
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
13-week assignment
-
Active IL RN license required
-
Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted for both)

NIHSS certification required

De-escalation/workplace violence prevention training required (DCI/BVP); can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC NIOSH resource

Minimum 1 year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital critical care setting

Proficiency in cardiac strip interpretation and titration of drips required
-
EMR experience required; specific system varies by facility

CCRN certification preferred

COVID vaccination and boosters preferred

DOB and SSN required for consideration

Responsible for delivering safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing process

Provides direct patient care within scope of practice and directs activities of other nursing personnel to maintain ICU standards of care

Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and abnormal findings

Monitors and responds to changes in patient condition and treatment response, including hemodynamic assessment
