Shift: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month

Duration - 14 Weeks
Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered therapy services in both acute care and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical evaluation skills, experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans that support patient recovery and functional independence.
Preferred candidates will have neuro and concussion outpatient rehabilitation experience.
- Administer Occupational Therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Evaluate patients and determine individualized treatment goals and care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and families regarding treatment planning and patient progress
- Provide therapy services in acute care and outpatient clinical settings
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment documentation, and related reports
- Participate in patient rounds, conferences, and interdisciplinary discussions
- Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans and therapeutic goals
- Maintain therapy equipment, supplies, and treatment areas
- Support departmental educational initiatives and staff development activities as needed
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Current New York State Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience
- Required experience in:
- Acute Care (non-acute inpatient rehabilitation)
- Outpatient therapy settings
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
- Neuro outpatient rehabilitation experience
- Concussion rehabilitation experience
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and communication skills
- Experience working in fast-paced clinical healthcare environments
- Strong patient evaluation and treatment planning abilities
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within healthcare teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of occupational therapy best practices and patient safety standards
